How to install Observer on macOS
Download and install Observer on your Mac in under 2 minutes.
Observer installs like any other Mac app. You need macOS 11 or later and an Observer account.
Download and install
1. Go to getobserver.app and open the Download page.
2. Download the Observer .dmg file.
3. Open the file and drag Observer into Applications.
4. Launch Observer from Applications or Spotlight.
5. Sign in with the account you used at checkout.
After install
On first launch, Observer asks for Microphone and Screen Recording permissions. Grant both before your first meeting — Observer cannot transcribe or read your screen without them.
If macOS blocks the app, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and allow Observer under Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording.
