How meetings work in Observer
Understand how sessions start, end, and are saved.
An Observer meeting is a timed session tied to one call. It is separate from the calendar event itself — you control when Observer starts and stops.
Starting a session
Click Start Observer in the Meetings section after you join the call. Observer begins capturing system audio for transcription and keeps a running chat history for that session.
While the session runs
- The live transcript updates as people speak.
- Screen captures happen when you use Assist, Screen + text, Power Mode, or screen analysis.
- Each meeting can run for up to 3 hours.
Stopping a session
Click Stop Observer when the call ends. Observer writes the final transcript, generates meeting notes, and saves your conversation to that meeting record.
If Observer closes unexpectedly
Restart Observer and check Meetings for the saved record. Partial sessions may still contain transcript and chat data collected before the interruption.
